about me

As a freelance science writer with seven years of experience and a PhD in cell biology from the University of Pittsburgh, I combine my expertise in research and passion for communications to generate compelling narratives that translate complex topics, from fundamental biomedical research to family matter.

My writing has appeared in Undark, Wirecutter, Slate, Smithsonian,  and more. And I have provided communications services—writing press releases, research summaries, and website copy, editing documents, managing social media, and more—to many nonprofits including the American Society for Cell Biology, the Biophysical Society, HHMI, AAAS, and Rockefeller University Press.
